About the API

What this endpoint does.

Fuel prices in India move almost daily, and every state sets its own rate. Instead of scraping dozens of state portals, read one endpoint that returns petrol and diesel together for the whole country — states by default, or drill into a city.

The data is crawled from official state sources five times a day (05:30–10:30 IST), so your dashboard, alert bot or website is quoting yesterday’s pump prices within minutes of today’s revisions.

Who builds on this

Built for the teams shipping real products.

  1. 01

    Logistics & fleet

Fuel is a fleet’s biggest variable cost — quote live diesel rates per city before routing trucks or pricing deliveries.

  2. 02

    Petrol pumps & fuel apps

Keep the rate card your pumps show accurate without entering numbers by hand, five times a day.

  3. 03

    News & finance media

Feed price-movement charts and “what changed today” stories from one source instead of manual round-ups.

Under the hood

What you send. What comes back.

Request

Inputs you send

  • fueloptional

petrol or diesel. Omitted → both fuels returned.

  • cityoptional

mumbai, delhi… single city lookup, case-insensitive.

  • stateoptional

west bengal, bihar… returns the state row plus every nested city.

  • typeoptional

city or state. Omitted → state.

  • daysoptional

1–90 for /fuel/history — how far back the trend goes. Omitted → 7.

Response

Free tier

Ship on this API free, then pay only when your calls outgrow it.

  • A free monthly request allowance on your first key — enough to build and test.
  • The same key works across every endpoint, so you can switch APIs as you grow.
  • When the free requests end, upgrade to paid — your code and endpoints don’t change.
